SAN Group supports next generation of scientists
iGEM Vienna and their project PICHITECTURE
iGEM Vienna, which is a part of the BOKU Vienna (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences), comprises students from universities in Vienna and Munich. Their project PICHITECTURE focused on finding ways to reduce greenhouse emissions created by the construction industry, as 11% of energy-related CO2 emissions worldwide originate from building materials and construction.
Therefore, their goal was to provide an alternative to carbon emissions produced by the production of building materials in order to contribute to the fight against climate change.
The group also received valuable feedback and great suggestions for their project at the 2022 Grand Jamboree, which is the most important global synthetic biology gathering.
Support of BOKU Vienna
SAN Group is pleased to support its long-term partner BOKU in numerous areas.
We are certain: An investment in the next generation of scientists is the most important investment to make for a better future.
