150 years BOKU Vienna: Happy Birthday from SAN Group!

We are supporting our long-term research partner, BOKU Vienna (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences), on the occasion of its 150th anniversary. For almost 30 years, Erich Erber, Founder and President of SAN Group, and the university have been working together intensively to develop innovative and sustainable efficient solutions for a better tomorrow.

The cooperation came about after the establishment of IFA Tulln, an inter-university department for agricultural biotechnology in Tulln, Lower Austria. The IFA is a joint project of BOKU, the TU (Technical University of Vienna), and VetMed.

In the course of agricultural biotechnology research, Erich Erber and the IFA succeeded in conducting sustainable, long-term research to great success. The close cooperation took place under the leadership of Univ.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Rudolf Krska.

"Without the cooperation with BOKU we would not be where we are today. Currently we are - together with BOKU - far ahead of the state of research in many areas. Little bureaucracy and uncomplicated opportunities for collaboration make the IFA an interesting partner today, as it was then,” Erich Erber declared. Currently, we are doing research on organisms that could change the approach to biotechnological control of plant diseases, and possibly to animal diseases as well.

Rudolf Krska remembers: "With his open and positive manner, Erich inspired us from the very beginning. He was instrumental in the rise of IFA Tulln as the world's leading research institution in the field of mycotoxin research."
